Comprehensive Prenatal Care

Complete prenatal care is provided throughout your entire pregnancy in office or from the comfort of your own home. You choose! Each appointment includes assessment of fetal development, listening to baby, and monitoring of your physical and emotional well being. Information relating to your pregnancy and upcoming lab tests/ultrasounds will also be discussed in order to help you make informed choices.

  • Thorough one hour appointments.

  • Initial visits include a thorough physical exam, initial labs if necessary, and complete medical history.

  • Appointments every 4 weeks until 28 weeks.

  • Appointments every 2 weeks between 28 and 36 weeks.

  • Weekly appointments from 37 weeks to birth.

  • Referral to specialists as needed.

Lab Testing & Ultrasound

All standard prenatal lab tests, including stat testing, are available to you. Most lab tests are provided during your prenatal appointments or after hours as necessary. Ultrasounds are provided by the facility of your choice.

Labor & Birth

As you approach your due date, you will have 24/7 access to the midwife. Labor typically begins spontaneously and often in the middle of the night. During prenatal visits, the midwife will discuss with you what labor may look like and when to call. 

  • Supportive, nurturing, and calm birth environment.

  • Conscientious care during the immediate postpartum period including complete newborn exam.

  • Breastfeeding support and emphasis on skin to skin contact.

  • Waterbirth options available.

Postpartum Care

After the birth of your baby, it is my hope that you will be able to relax at home without the worry of running to and from appointments. The bonds created between you, your family, and your new baby in the first few days are invaluable. 

  • 24 hour postpartum home visit including comprehensive maternal and newborn exams.

  • In Home visits at 2, 4, and 6 weeks that include newborn weight checks and emotional/physical support.

Additional Services

Birth doula services and co-managed care options are available to those planning a hospital birth.
